TRY A CUT · DATA DELETION

Settings → Delete my data has one confirmation and removes saved looks, source photos, previews and preferences on this device. You can instead delete one look in My Looks or clear only the selected photo. Copies exported to Photos, shared elsewhere, kept in device backups or stored on another device must be managed separately. Your Apple subscription is not cancelled.

Server deletion and interrupted requests

The action also requests deletion of the current session’s private server content. We preserve a protected deletion request and the authorization needed to retry before removing credentials. Local photos can be removed offline; server status stays pending or unknown until confirmed. Reopen the deletion screen and check again when connected. A private receipt reports accepted, completed or unknown status for 7 days after first acceptance; retries do not extend it. An expired or unknown receipt does not establish completion. Deletion suppresses pending result delivery; it cannot recall processing already sent to an AI provider.

What remains

Minimum pseudonymous usage and purchase records remain to prevent allowance resets and restore unused paid looks. They contain no portraits. Free-allowance records remain while the promotion is supported; unresolved obligations remain until settled. Closed paid-period details normally remain for 90 days, reduced purchase records for 180 days and duplicate-notification records for 30 days. Deleted portraits are not restored with a purchase. Photo processing

The source portrait is processed in server memory, not saved as a server source-photo library. Generated-result access ends one hour after the original request or sooner after confirmed local saving. Acknowledgement or expiry starts automatic purge; cleanup may be delayed and is retried. Provider-held copies follow the provider’s separate terms. We do not back up portraits or generated images.

Recovery

Older private-beta SQLite records have encrypted R2 backups with seven-day deletion protection; this does not cover the public Firestore ledger. Managed recovery is enabled for the public Firestore metadata database: point-in-time history for up to seven days and scheduled daily backups retained for seven days. Available history builds over time; enabling the schedule does not confirm a completed backup. Restoration has not yet been verified. These protections do not include photos. Existing restricted recovery copies may retain recently deleted metadata until expiry, and deletion restrictions must be reapplied before restoring service.

Other requests

Turning off analytics or diagnostics stops further optional reporting and requests deletion of unsent crash reports; it does not erase data already received by those providers. Email info@metric-rise.com with “Try a Cut privacy: deletion” for remaining service data, earlier analytics or separately authorized test copies. Include a request ID if available. Do not initially send portraits, ID documents, card details or access tokens. We may request limited information to verify your request. Where GDPR applies, the usual response time is one month, with lawful extensions explained.
